Podcast With Paul Ingraham on Neuroinflammation and Medically Unexplained Symptoms

Paul Ingraham is the author of the amazing website PainScience.com. Paul's website is basically a wikipedia of everything that's worth knowing about how to solve problems related to musculoskeletal pain. For example, if you have plantar fasciitis, and want to learn about it so you can treat it or help someone else treat it, you can find readable summaries of almost everything credible that has been written about on this subject. The information is evidence-based, thoroughly researched and referenced, practical, well-written, and also filled with humor, common sense and personality. As you can tell, I have a huge amount of respect for the work he has done, I'm jealous of it, and I recommend that anyone with an interest in musculoskeletal pain check it out.

In this podcast we talked about how Paul got into science writing, his prior work as a massage therapist, how he got involved in the skeptic community, and his work as an editor at the science-based medicine blog. We also talked about Paul's recent challenges with severe chronic pain and medically unexplained symptoms, and the role that neuroinflammation might play in helping to explain complex chronic health problems.
