Better Movement of the Week

I've decided to add a new feature to the blog - a (hopefully) weekly showcase of a video of some excellent movement, along with some brief commentary about why I found it inspiring, or interesting, or exemplary of some of the principles I talk about on this blog. To start off, here is a beautiful video of man spear fishing while holding his breath for several minutes deep under the ocean.

I've frequently watched animals in the wild and have been amazed at the fluidity and grace of their movements. I've sometimes despaired that humans were not equally gifted. I thought that perhaps the price of a superior brain was an inferior body. But it's not true. Perhaps it is true for humans living in a modern zoo deprived of proper stimulation and opportunities for creative and playful movement. But given the proper environment, human bodies are capable of beautifully amazing things.
